Did more stuff and things in FFXIV but most of it was with a specific purpose, that being the hunt. Starting with Stormblood, every poetics vendors for each expansion are locked behind clearing the base expansion itself, meaning if you hit the level cap early you're still stuck with suboptimal gear. However, only the last two tomestone gearsets (from the X.2 and X.4 patches) go to the poetics vendors; the first two sets of tomestone gear (from X.0 and X.05) instead go to the hunt (where you just kill specific overworld mobs to get gil/exp/a specific hunt currency), and both HW and SB share the same hunt currency, so even without being able to kill most of the SB mobs I can still grind the hunt currency and get a good enough set of endgame gear until I can get all the poetics gear. With the existing marks I had and taking some new ones after using them I got enough for everything except the headpiece (which I just forgot to buy, but did't have the seals for anyway). Even after beaing SB they'll still be useful because a full set of poetics gear is just over 4k, and you can hold only up to 2k poetics. And then after that I can give them to a retainer cause they need their own gear for ventures.
